Graduation favors may come in lots of shapes, sizes and types but they all serve that vital purpose which is to thank your guests for coming to the graduation party. Indeed you can be very creative and make up lots of outstanding favors which can combine traditional type favors with some unique and even unusual favors. There are a number of factors which will determine how you go about choosing the graduation favors, however in the end they all result in you proudly handing over a bag of favors to your guest as they leave your party. Every guest will be very happy that you took the time to prepare favors and will be very grateful. Some graduation favors can be mainly fun filled items which will be great to have but will not last long. Other favors may be long lasting reminders of a wonderful graduation party and a brilliant graduate. Among the factors which will determine your choice will be the budget you have, the party theme if there is one and the type of guests that you have. Setting your budget is key for the overall party. Although you do not want to look back in years to come and wish you had spent a little more to make the party even more special, you do not need to break the bank either. Some clever shopping on web based auction sites and price comparison web sites will help you stretch your budget much further. Once your overall budget is set you need to divide it up effectively between all the various elements of the party. Back at the later stages of the party organisation is the need to allocate some of the budget to favors. You do need to check that this amount does get you something that is in keeping with the rest of the party. You do not want to buy gold pens for favors when you had to ask guests to bring food. Equally you do not want to give a bag of balloons at the end of a sumptuous party where everything was very expensive. The trick is to balance up the spending and make it all fit. The graduation party may have a theme. In that case the graduation favors should be right on theme. If you have a beach party theme you should give beachwear, hats, suncream and water bottles, for example. If you have a Mexican party you can give real postcards, sombreros, and Mexican style artefacts. A New York party theme will let you give postcards, statues of liberty, New York style foods and lots of other things that are branded as New York. An Italian themed party will let you give pasta, olive oil and say a mini flag as the graduation favors. Also a Brazilian themed party would let you give a music CD, soccer jersey and a poster of the Rio Carnival. There are so many themes and so many favors that you are sure to be able to get the right ones. You likely will have a mix of guests. It may be unlikely that your Gran would want a music CD, though you never know, and she may just love a photo frame complete with photo of the graduate. You may have young children who would prefer a candy and a coloring in book.
