Dominic M Lusk, is an Afro-American who came to this world on 1st April, in the year 1962 in Texas. Dominic Lusk was born three years behind his sister (Lynda) and two years prior to his brother (Richard) in Texas. Most of his young life was lived in total ignorance to the famous African - American civil rights movement which gripped the complete countey; one movement which paved the way for him and his peers to run their lives with respect and freedom. His typical Afro - American upbringing had been rigid, disciplinarian and yet, brimming with love and affection. His parents did not have the advantage of education and were working as unskilled wagers; that did not grant a good life style but they made sure that their kids were never denied of any of their basic necessities. The significance of education was not lost to Dominic's parents and they did all things possible to enable all their children to go to school. Dominic M Lusk was an good student and till date takes joy from the fact that he was better than his sister and brother at school. In the year 1975, Dominic's father made a decision to enter his brother's business and the Lusk family relocated to Kansas City, because of this. Dominic persued with his studies in Dominic Lusk Kansas City and at the same time, started to help his father and uncle in their milk supply business. His teens was as unremarkably common, as his childhood had been. Dominic by now was aware of his heritage and grateful for the relative liberty that his generation enjoyed. Dominic Lusk's biggest influence at this age was not Martin Luther King but surprisingly, an African American fire fighter by the name Robert Lowery, who became the first black fire commissioner in the nation. Dominic nurtured a desire to become a fire fighter like his role model. When he passed out of school with adequate scored, he shared this desire to his parents and also informed them that he had no intention to pursue higher Studies. His parents had to hesitantly accept to this and Dominic right away joined the fire service of Dominic Lusk Kansas City to live his fantasy. As the years passed by, Dominic's fascination and captivation for fire fighting steadily diminished as he understood that the fire fighter's job was tough, demanding and thankless; that necessitated huge hours and extremely small rewards. His lack of higher education also limited his opportunities to scale up the work ladder. But, he had a steady job that paid enough. In 1986, he married Nancy (who is his long lost relative from his mother's side), after a romance of 24 months. Dominic's and Nancy's son William was born in the year 1988 and that is when Dominic understood that he had to complete higher studies to earn more for his family. He took up part time studies and since he had always been a above average student, he was able to finish his graduation within four years. Just when he was about to complete his graduation, Dominic was given an opportunity to move to the administrative division in the fire service department. He happily moved and still enjoys to work there till today. The years between 1993 and 2003 were unremarkable job wise but was full of anguish personally. He lost his father in 1994, his mother passed away in 1998 and his better half left this abode in 2003. What a painful span of 10 years! Dominic Lusk decided not to marry again after his wife's death and opted to be a single parent to his son. William is 20 years old as on date and is on the verge of completing his graduation. Dominic's responsibilities towards his family are almost over and he now is looking forward to the day when he can lead a life for for his own enjoyment; he wants to start his happy childhood all over again!
