1. You can do this! Before becoming a Realtor®, (another
story altogether), I was FORCED to sell my home myself or
lose everything! We bought a new home, and were renting our
old home to a friend who decided to bail - and left us with
only 30 days before the next payment was due!

2. No special skills are required. If you can sell your
car, you can sell your house! There are a few other forms
you'll need, but other than that, it's pretty much the same.
In fact, you're the most qualified person to market your
home, as you know it intimately.

3. Help is available. Beside online information, there are
plenty of people who will be happy to help. Realtors®, (yes,
Realtors®), Mortgage Lenders, Attorneys. Don't forget your
neighbors! They have a stake in who moves in, and may even
want to buy it themselves.

4. Everybody's doing it. Have you noticed all the For Sale
by Owner signs around town? Maybe even in your own
neighborhood? For Sale by Owner is a growing trend that's
showing no signs of slowing.

5. It's worth the effort. It'll take a lot of work, but
the benefits of selling your home yourself are hard to
ignore. More money stays in your pocket and you may sell
your home faster.
