Though larger vehicles like trucks may use larger lights bars, a mini light bar is finding increased use in vehicles and also in handheld lights. Because of its lesser power requirements, easy mounting options, and low profile nature, a mini light bar is finding use in myriad applications.
Light bars have been extremely popular ever since they have entered the market. They got steadily modified to accommodate more and more lights in them to beam in various directions and in many flash patterns. While larger vehicles do need big light bars, after LED lights came into use various types of mini light bar are getting used in more and more applications. A mini light bar comes in handy for installation inside the vehicle on the deck, dash, or visor for illuminating the car interior. A smaller one generates less heat and when mounted inside the vehicle it causes less wind resistance for the vehicle than a larger one mounted outside the vehicle. A lot of energy is saved this way by less heat generation and lower drag coefficient resulting from less wind resistance. Fire and ice mini light bar is a one foot long tailgate light that is designed to be fitted on trucks. It needs no drilling to mount and can be mounted with adhesive tapes. It can be plugged into the trailer connector a truck would have at its back. Red and white are the colors available in a fire and ice mini light bar and it will show brake lights, reverse lights, turn signals, and running lights. Its 12" in size and generally fits most SUVs and pickup trucks. An amber colored mini light bar is used variously in slow plows, fire trucks, towing trucks, and in police vehicles for traffic guidance. Based on the laws of each state, it may be used by emergency medical technicians, volunteer firefighters, in pilot cars, and in parked construction vehicles and delivery trucks. Since an amber mini light bar is more used in vehicles and in modes that could use them only intermittently, these are more commonly halogen powered because LED may not be cost effective in them. Polycarbonate lens, halogen rotators, and a diamond mirror are characteristic of such smaller light bars. A handheld mini light bar with a steady beam as well as two or more flashing pattern is used as a personal safety tool by ordinary people as well as law enforcement agents. These battery powered, handheld light bars will be typically light weight and water proof and used as warning lights by boatmen, fishermen, guards at railway level crossing, or hikers to show light or signal to distances.
