It's amazing to think that around 90 years ago only 1% of homes actually had a bathroom. The outside toilet was the norm and having a shower was an alien concept to most people unless you were talking about the weather. Nowadays the bathroom is seen as being one of the most important rooms within the home and it can increase the value of most properties. Baths are extremely good for hygiene purposes and can either be stand-alone or used in conjunction with a shower. Most are made of acrylic or fibre glass and they are an ideal way to close yourself off from the world and unwind. Most property buyers will scout around for homes which have a bath, so it is always useful to have one installed if you ever need to sell your home sooner rather than later. Things have come on a long way since people had to trek outside in all weathers to use the home toilet. The toilet is one of the most important facilities within the home as it is regularly used by all families but is often taken for granted. You don't need to just think about water conservation, you also need to consider the size and shapes of toilets in order to find one most suitable for your bathroom space and style. For those who are lucky enough to have a shower within the home and have young children and maybe a tiled floor, you should really consider purchasing a shower enclosure. Shower curtains are not as water tight and don't keep water in as well as shower enclosures and it could result in your tiled bathroom floor becoming slippy. An enclosure is more likely to keep the water in the unit and can also prove to be a more stylish accompaniment. You need to feel comfortable in your own bathroom as you will more than likely be in it for some amount of time every day. So turn your bathroom into a place of beauty for all the family to enjoy.
