There's no doubt that renovations cause stress on all fronts. There are strangers walking through your home all the time, mess and dust everywhere and the noise of power saws and hammers all day long. Added to that is the stress of paying for it all. So to reduce the stress somewhat before you even start, make sure that you allow at least 20% extra for blowouts. Things always cost more than you expect, so it's best to be prepared for it. Another stress reducer is getting in tradesmen if you are a DIYer. No matter how handy you are there will be some things you cannot - or should not - attempt. The law won't allow you to do the electrician or plumber's job. But there may be other jobs that you can do legally but are not proficient at. These are the ones you should outsource. Make sure you get council approval before you buy the materials and to find out what they allow, you can go online and research it. If all your plans comply with rules and regulations, then you will save time in getting approval. Life changes and families grow bigger before they start to shrink, so make sure your planned renovations will suit you further down the track. Article Source: http://www.ArticleBlast.com |
