Why You Need A Backup Sump Pump
With sump pump backup systems, it is a good idea to have a battery backup system that will kick on in the event of a power outage. Furthermore,
that backup system needs to be from the same manufacturer
as your sump pump itself. You wouldn't have a
vehicle with Honda body, a Chevy engine and a Ford transmission.
It just wouldn't make sense and it wouldn't
function properly. So, why would you risk an even bigger
investment (your house) with a pieced together sump
pump system? Backup sump pumps are an essential part of backup systems. You need to have an additional sump pump for a couple of reasons. First off, what if the first pump can't handle the volume of water? A second pump on the backup system can kick in and assist the first one with removing larger volumes of water. Also, related to power outages, what if there is some sort of surge or brown out that damages your main pump? Even with a battery backup, if the pump is damaged, it can't work. That's when the second pump can kick on and save the day and your home's basement. Wouldn't you rather be able to fall asleep to the sound of the raindrops pitter pattering off your roof rather than staying up all night bailing water out of your home? A properly thought out and designed sump pump system with an additional backup pump and backup power supply can give you this much needed peace of mind. A professional waterproofing consultant can help you design the system for your home and make sure you stay high and dry. Article Source: http://www.ArticleBlast.com |
