Physical workout is any bodily activity that enhances or maintains physical fitness and overall health or wellness. It also improves mental health, helps prevent depression, helps to promote or maintain positive self-esteem, and can even augment an individual's sex appeal or body image. Workouts have to be designed different for men and women, as their bodies are different. women's workout needs to be designed with care and regard for the female body.

Women today lead busier and more active lives than ever before. Their time is valuable and there usually is not much of it to spare. The best part about customized women's workout programs is that they can be tailored to fit every aspect of a busy woman's life. For many women, the biggest barrier to fitness is finding an activity that you can stick to and do easily. The best women's workout routine to build and tone muscle involves performing specific weight lifting movements. Moreover, when training with weights to build and tone muscle your workout routine should involve adding slow but consistent resistance to the muscle. Along with weight training, what helps tremendously is a cardio workout. One needs to remember that the women's workout needs to focus on all three parts of a women's body - upper, middle and lower. If it is even slightly biased towards any one of these three, then the workout can create severe health problems for women like stress fractures, sprains etc. instead of improving their health.

Most health conscious women today go to one of the many gyms that have sprung up in their cities. There specific trainers and physical instructors are assigned the task of designing women's workout regimens and routines. There are also highly trained and experienced nutrition specialists who chart out balanced diets for women keeping in mind their work timings and exercise regimens. Under the perfect guidance of these two sets of people, women's workout becomes easier to follow and they begin to extract fun out of it. This is essential for the workout to show its complete and desired effect on the body.

Apart from this, most women understand that doing other activities apart from exercise can also be considered a part of the women's workout and thus benefit them a lot. Such activities may include taking a quick walk for fifteen to twenty minutes in a park in the wee hours of the morning before the dew evaporates, doing some aerobics routines to the tune of your favorite music, cycling for half an hour or so to get some stuff from the grocery, running in the backyard of the home in the evenings for a small amount of time etc.

Finally, most experts on women's health as well as gynecologists strongly advise that yoga should be an inalienable part of women's workout. Yoga helps your body a lot despite not putting any undue pressure on a woman's delicate joints. Specific yoga routines for pregnant women also help a lot.
