If you suffer migraines or chronic headaches, you are not alone. In fact, you're in good company. A migraine is only one type of headache. In the United States alone, 24 million people suffer with migraines with 75% of them being women. Depression and chronic pain go hand in hand. All of these statements point to the fact that millions of men and even more women in the United States endure headaches, chronic pain, depression, anxiety and sleep disorders. It is simply distressing to read these facts. We are suffering both physically and emotionally with pain and moods that take away the joy of daily living. Causes of chronic headache In almost all chronic headache cases the structural composition of the individual is a huge factor. Do you experience tension in your neck and shoulder area? Usually there will be chronic tightness most always in the neck and shoulders that contributes to headaches. Basically the body pattern is the head is sitting very forward, almost sticking out, not sitting directly on top of the spine. This causes the muscles in the neck and shoulders to have to over-exert themselves in order to hold up the skull. Chronic headaches are generally different than the regular headaches that hit people. But, just like a regular headache, chronic headaches causes can be as varied as the types of pain that they inflict. They can be a reaction to some kind of allergy, or perhaps brought on by stress or anxiety. It could also be that they are caused by a more serious problem that should be diagnosed by a doctor. Once the underlying cause of the headache is known, it can then be attacked at the source. Manage Chronic Headache Nowadays headache is very common in our day-to-day life. Sometime headache get healed within few hours but sometimes it take days to heal. For the people who experience headache very frequently, the best feeling is how to get rid of it. They really find themselves plagued with Chronic Headache and have to deal with it on a constant basis. These chronic headaches can be as close together as every few hours with little break in between, or spread out over a week. Headaches are also caused by wide variety other reasons too such as stress, muscle tension, high blood pressure, medication usage, and spinal misalignment. While the causes of headache vary person to person that's why it's very necessary to first analyze the cause and then go for medication. Thanks to studies and medical perseverance, there are several remedies for headaches and various ways to avoid chronic headaches. Many people have unknown allergies to dairy, chocolate products, processed food such as lunch meats, and wheat or white flour and avoiding these products on daily basis can make headaches disappear almost instantaneously.
