What you should keep in mind when buying a sex toy? Don't forget to buy lubricants, of course. Usually people forget such things being overexcited by their purchase and foretasting the future pleasant experience. But it is important to remember that dildos and vibrators usually come in a bit bigger size than average penis. That is why it is pretty problematic to use them without additional lubrication, counting on your natural juices. And it's almost vital to use lube if you plan to get involved in anal play, as your anus doesn't produce any natural lubrication at all. Let's move to the types of lubricants. There are 3 types of lubricants: - oil based lubricant - water based lubricant - silicone based lubricant Oil based lubricants can't be used for experiments with sex toys. There are designed for massaging only, because oils are not latex and silicone friendly. While the majority of sex toys and all condoms are made of the above mentions materials which are not oil resistant. As you can see, beside the massage, all that is left for oil based lubricant are such sophisticated sex plays like: thrusting between breasts, buttock cheeks and other not very traditional places for sexual play. The handiest and the most widely used are water based lubricants, due to the fact that they don't destroy the materials of condoms and vibrators, which make them universal for solo play, as well as for the variety of different sex plays. Though, there is one thing that you must remember when using any water based lubricant. This lube doesn't last long, it dries out very fast and you have to continuously add it during the sex that is a little distracting. Silicone based lubricant could be ideal but for 2 things. Yes, it doesn't dry out as fast as water based lube and it is latex friendly as well, but it also very resistant, which is good during the sex, but not so good after. When you have to spend half an hour in the shower, trying to wash it away. Another serious drawback of silicone lube is its destructive effect on sex toys. As we've already mentioned, it doesn't destroy latex condoms, but it affects silicone sex toys. And the majority of close-to-real-thing vibrators and other sex toys are made of silicone. Besides the main division on types, there also are lubes which contain different extra effects. Usually, it is water based lube which is modified in the variety of ways. The most common effects which are added to water based lubricants are taste and scent. A more beneficiary for health supplement is antiseptic effect. Lubes with antiseptic effect are just perfect for anal play, as it will prevent the spread of dangerous bacteria, yet it is recommended to use a condom for anal play. Another perfect lube for anal play is lubricants with pain releasing effect. These lubricants contain lidocaine and the beginners of anal play will appreciate the effect of these products. Just be careful when using lubricants containing ledocaine. Try to prevent the contact of this lube with your genitalia, because even a small amount of it can cause your genitalia numb for quite a long period. Sometimes you may come across the lubricants with protection effect, but don't count on that much. This can't be considered a way of protection against pregnancy. In fact such lubricants are more for people paranoid with over protection idea. For people who are concerned about the resistance of condoms and other protection methods. There are also different aroma therapy oils, which can be used during your sex play. Some of them are said to have different effects of sexual drive boosters but as any other oil based lubricants they are for body massaging, not for your experiments with sex toys.
