The field is science is always changing and making advances day by day. However, these advances are not restricted to any particular field, rather science has its roots in every sphere. For one, science has understood the amazing benefits for health from natural foods. So these foods are now categorized as super foods. These super foods include sprouts, yoghurt, greens etc but above all these is acai berry. It is considered to be one of the world's most nutritious fruits. Acai berry is a little fruit of royal purple color and it resembles grapes. It is found in the rainforests of Amazon and grows in swamps or floodplains which are favorable condition. They are tall palm trees with an average height of 15-30 meters. The acai belongs to the kingdom Plantae and genus Euterpe. In 1990 it was introduced in the western world whereas its existence was marked over a thousand years ago. Today, many people are eating acai berry in various forms, such as ice-creams, juices, fruit juice pulp, energy bars with granola, etc. It is also used in making red wine, which is suggested to be good for the health if consumed in small amounts. People are aware of its nutritious and high power to fight against infections and other ailments. The high concentration of antioxidants and rich fibers make it more useful. The presence of vitamins and minerals makes it beneficial for health. Acai berry in recent times was used mainly for medicinal purposes, but now it is also used as a weight reducing due to it's effect on speeding up the metabolism in the body.
