Researchers found
one cup of the caffeine-rich beverage was enough to reduce blood flow
to the heart by 22 per cent within an hour of being consumed. Scientists who carried out the latest research, published in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition, said it confirms the high levels of caffeine found in a single espresso do have unfavourable cardiovascular effects.
