Deciding to switch to a vegan diet can be a great idea for your health. It can help you to lower cholesterol and fat, and generally be healthier. You must make sure you eat well though, and get enough protein each day. When you are switching to a vegan diet, you are giving up not only meat, but animal products as well. These are foods that are the usual sources of protein, and they must be replaced with nuts and soy. No More Cheese As a vegan, you can no longer eat any dairy, since dairy is or contains animal products. However, there are many vegan substitutions for the place of dairy in your diet. You can find many great products online. Dietary Fiber is a Must When switching to a vegan diet, a must is dietary fiber. This will help your digestive system to stay healthy and to help your body deal with your switch in diet. If you don't get enough from your food, try a supplement. Tasty Vegan Foods A mainstay of your new vegan diet will be fruits and vegetables. These are both tasty and good for you.
