SEXUAL HEALTH

Sexuality is an integral part of being human. Love, affection and sexual intimacy contribute to healthy relationships and individual well-being. But along with the positive aspects of our human sexuality, there also are illnesses that can affect our sexual health. In a world of growing tension, it doesn't become any easier for men who learn of their incapability to have sex. By "incapability of having sex" we are referring to the demoralizing ailment known as Impotence. Impotence, also known as Erectile dysfunction, is a condition which affects millions of people all over the world. As sex forms such an integral part of a couple's life, its absence can seriously affect the quality of an existing relationship.

Sexual health has been defined as the state of sexuality related to physical, emotional, mental and social well-being. A positive and respectful approach towards sexuality and sexual relationships is vital for attaining a sound sexual health. Apart from being responsible for creating life, sexual union is an experience that gives humans pleasure, a sense of closeness and gratification. Both men and women, often face a number of sexual problems that deprive them of the coveted pleasure which, in turn, adversely affects different areas of their life. That is when they start looking for "sexual enhancement," applying various products and supplements in the form of creams, pills, drugs, gels, herbs and alleged aphrodisiacs. These products enhance one's ability to get involved in sexual intercourse, and help one derive maximum pleasure and satisfaction out of the experience.

Most of the men today suffer from sexual problems are usually erectile impotence, now called "erectile dysfunction," loss of libido, premature ejaculation and ejaculatory impotence, i.e., failure to ejaculate in coitus. Erectile dysfunction can be caused by chronic illness or the side effects of some drugs. Because of this, sexual dysfunction spills over into other areas of life such as personal relationships, work and even home life. Sexual problems, and the lack of sexual satisfaction and release is a key ingredient to overall contentment, satisfaction and anxiety relief. Other factors like cardiovascular problems, excessive smoking, obesity and high cholesterol can also cause this dysfunction. For young males, the cause is largely psychological, while for older people, the cause is most likely to be physical.

Some researchers believe one of the major causes of impotence in males is high or low blood sugar, caused by eating foods high in sugar and empty carbohydrates. A typical fast food diet such as a hamburger, fries and a coke with a candy bar snack does not support male glands, or aid in the production of sperm, a key factor in the ability to perform sexually. Regulating blood sugar nutritionally may help a large percentage of males perform sexually without excessive cost or side effects. In a small percentage of males, anemia may be the problem and can be effectively regulated with diet and supplements

For females, the most common problems are lack of orgasm, lack of interest, vaginismus making penetration difficult, and painful coitus. It's the older women who often suffer from lack of desire caused by reductions in the level of testosterone and other hormones. Mental depression or stress can also cause a lack of libido. Sex is very important for a relationship to go smooth. Your inability to last in bed can turn your relationship bitter. Anxiety builds up in your mind making sex one of the most traumatic things in your life.

This is where sexual enhancement products can really help. There are sexual enhancers that actually contain natural ingredients which have been used literally for thousands of years, by shamans, herbalists and naturopaths as a means of sexual healing and drastically increasing the quality of both men and women's sex lives.
