Let's face it. With the new "green" movement that is
stampeding across the world, different techniques and new technologies are
coming to light—some ridiculous and some amazing. People can get so caught up in the new fads
that they forget the basics of good health. If you pair the new technological
health advances with the old-time effective basics, you will become the fittest
and healthiest version of yourself.
- Eat Right. This is one of those old classics
that people get annoyed at hearing over and over again. But if people would
actually do this, you would hear a lot less clamor about it. Stick to the food
pyramid rather than starvation diets. You may lose weight by starving yourself,
but you are also risking everything else (health, livelihood, life). Eat right
and you'll be surprised at the weight that just falls right off.
- Get Outside. Fresh air does a body and mind
good. Being inside a building with hermetically sealed windows is not so great
for your health. Toxins will get trapped in the air and just recycle itself to
the next person. By getting outside, you can avoid all of that.
- Keep Your Heart Going Strong. The easiest way to
do this is by exercising (and the television tells us that eating cheerios help
too...but then again, who really knows?) Many people find exercise to be
monotonous and not enjoyable. The trick is to find forms of exercise that you
find entertaining: dancing, tennis, yoga, any kind of sport, walking, jogging,
and anything else you can think of.
