Medicinal plants and herbs have been around for as long as
humans have roamed the earth. Through centuries of trial and error, experts say
that we've gotten it down to an art but we continue to learn more about natural
medicine. In seeking a natural home remedy for gout, we needn't look much
further than our homes and grocery stores.
Losing weight will make a gout sufferer manage his or her gout attacks better. Losing weight means lessening the pressure on your joints while suffering from gout pains. Losing weight may also mean that the levels of your uric acid may have gone down. Still, losing weight does not mean you are totally free from gout and may still experience gout attacks from time to time. Nature has great cures for gout pain relief in the form of many herbs, flowers and roots. These remedies work by melting the uric acid deposits in the muscles and other soft tissues or preventing the accumulation of uric acid in the blood stream. This lessens and eventually eliminates gout pain. A charcoal bath is a good Home Remedy for Gout. For this mix in old basin one half cup of charcoal powder with water until a paste is made. Place affected foot into the basin and add water until the foot is enclosed. Steep your foot in the charcoal bath for thirty to sixty minutes. Medications and prescriptions are the blood line for hospitals. Each year hospitals send trillions of dollars over to prescription companies. Doctors who have been taught in traditional medical schools sometimes know very little about natural health and remedies. Unfortunately, the patients are the victims because of this. In the case of gout, simple home remedies are the best treatment because they work to flush the uric acid that is causing the pain and attacks. Another home remedy for gout is the bromelain. Taken twice daily, this supplement acts as an anti- inflammatory which controls the sharpness of the pain during gout attacks. Many people aren't aware that fish oil capsules, taken twice daily, reduce the risk of gouty inflammation. The supplements L-glutamine, L-glycines and the L- methionine all contribute to the breakdown and/or deterrent against the buildup of uric acid. Drink half your body weight you should be drinking half your body weight in ounces of water per day. That means if you weigh 200 lbs. you should be drinking 100 ounces of water per day. That equates to 12 glasses of water per day. Water is a natural flusher and essential for optimal health! Exercise, obviouslyI recently read an article of over 1,000 benefits from exercise. And can you believe it, they forgot to list that exercise will eventually help you cure gout. By lowering your Body Mass Index (BMI) and maintaining a healthy body weight, you can naturally cure gout! Another simple remedy is to neutralize the uric acid. As you remember from science class, bases will neutralize acids. Therefore, one quick remedy that you can immediately try is a baking soda remedy. All you need to do is mix a half teaspoon of baking soda (a base) in 8 ounces of water and drink up. You can try this remedy at least 4 times per day during attacks. Remember that baking soda does contain sodium though! Article Source: http://www.ArticleBlast.com |
