Improves insulin
sensitivity and management of type two diabetes - Taking apple cider
vinegar before meals lowers the Glycemic index when eating carbohydrates. Like
cinnamon, this common kitchen condiment may assist in healing the potential
diabetes disaster.
The acetic acid in apple cider vinegar helps prevent necessary gastric acid, (mainly Hydrochloric acid), from leaving the stomach too soon. Food may be more easily digested with fewer unpleasant gassy problems. Eating an apple a day as a between meal snack is also an excellent way to stave off hunger. The large amount of fiber in an apple takes a long time to digest so a person feels full longer. This, in turn, leads to less snacking in general which can have a benefit for a person's waist line. Also, not snacking reduces the amount of sugars found on the teeth. After eating an apple, it's still important to brush your teeth. The apples still have sugar and acid in them which can damage the teeth. Leaving the sugar and acid on the teeth will reverse the benefits that eating an apple gave the teeth. Also, it's a good idea to brush away the loosened plaque from the teeth so that it cannot become reattached to the teeth. If a tooth brush is not available after an apple, rinsing the apple down with some water may be the next best thing. In selecting an apple cider vinegar source look for some that has what is called "the mother" liquor. That would be a milky or cloudy looking substance at or near the bottom of the container. Often that can be found on the grocery store shelves. What you do not want is a distilled vinegar. The distillation process will leave the beneficial qualities behind. A visit to your local vitamin or health food store should put you in touch with a high quality vinegar containing the mother liqueur. You will end up paying a lot more there, but, you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you have right product. Just one apple a week significantly reduced the frequency of both allergies and asthma. A similar benefit was found from eating oranges. In a later study of London school children aged 5 to 10, drinking apple juice at least once a day wasn't found to prevent every single asthma attack, but it was found to reduce wheezing. And a Dutch study found that women who eat apples during pregnancy bear children at lower risk for allergies, asthma, and eczema. Flavanoids are antioxidants that scavenge free radicals. Flavanoids can prevent further damage to critical cellular processes. Fruits and vegetables contain high concentrations of antioxidants. Three cups of green tea and six apples contain about the same about of flavanoids. If you take apple cider vinegar with the belief that it enables you to eat
whatever you want without gaining weight, then apple cider vinegar will
definitely make you "gain weight." The real problem of apple cider vinegar
is not the vinegar itself but the false sense of security that is being sold by
many merchants today. Article Source: http://www.ArticleBlast.com |
