It literally gave me a shock when I tried on my favourite pants that were forgotten for a while. I managed to fit in, and there I see an ugly bulge below my waist. I never thought I would ever have to bother about how to lose lower belly fat.

This revelation depressed me not only because of the fact that I wont be able to fit into anything decent, but I remember reading from reliable sources that developing belly fat can lead to heart disease, diabetes, and high blood pressure, to name a few that is.

Before you dredge into this mission on how to lose lower belly fat, let me warn you that it is a misconception that we can shape a particular part of our body alone. We cannot lose weight from any part of the body alone. This applies to the stomach too. But it's a sad truth, when most of us put on weight, it's the stomach that grabs most fat.

Let us not strain ourselves by having to go into a starving form of diet or strict exercise regimes. All we have to do is cut on a few food items like bread, rice, pasta, sugar and any processed food. By doing so, we are depriving our body of the carbohydrates and the body starts using up the stored fat helping you lose weight and ultimately your lower tummy.

Compromise little is all you are asked to do to if you are wondering how to lose belly fat. Use sugar-free sweetener instead of sugar in your coffee. Snack on baby carrots instead of potato chips. Drink good old water when you crave for soda. Have lean meat when you don't feel like having vegetables. Stick on to salt and pepper instead of salad dressing for your salad. Why not has wine in moderation in place of alcohol?

Exercising is the best way I would suggest anyone who is looking for how to lose lower belly fat. There are various exercises specifically to reduce the lower belly fat. Ideally you could combine exercises with weight exercises to get a firm and toned up stomach.

I am sure you agree with me when I say to get rid of the bad fat in your stomach doesn't require you to starve or kill yourself exercising. All you require is a disciplined diet plan and a regular exercising pattern.
