Apply a paste of powdered fenugreek and milk on your dark circles and leave it overnight. Fenugreek is an herb found in many home remedies for healing skin ailments. It can be purchased at a local health food store. Place thin slices of cucumber on your eyelids for 20 minutes. This stereotypical home remedy increases circulation and soothes the tired skin under your eyes. To keep styes from returning, try washing the roots of your lashes each day with diluted baby shampoo or mild soap on a cotton ball or washcloth. An alternative is to use the over-the-counter cleanser Cetaphil, which won't sting or excessively dry the skin. Cure for blackheads involves mixing two ounces of clover flowers, two ounces of nettle tops and two ounces of comfrey flowers with four pints of boiling water. Simmer this until the mixture is reduced to only two pints. A wineglass of the mixture is to be taken every three hours. Apply paste of fresh fenugreek leaves mixed with water on the face every night and wash off with warm water in the morning to prevent blackheads. After rinsing the area with cool water, spray the affected area with spray starch (like you use for ironing). Herbal wraps are easy to make. Create your own, similar to the ones offered at the expensive spas, by using 1 cup corn oil, 1/2 cup grapefruit juice and 2 teaspoons of dried thyme. Combine the ingredients and work the mixture into the thigh, hip and butt areas. Cover the areas with a plastic wrap, locking in the heat from your body. To accelerate the results, lay a heating pad for several minutes over the desired areas. Vodka & Lemon tones up tired skin. (1/4 cup Vodka and juice from one lemon) Dab on face, neck and chest area with cotton. Not necessary to rinse off. It will evaporate with the air. The less rubbing, the better. Mix a bit extra (with some sugar) and have a cocktail. 1-2 drops of lemon juice and mix it with yogurt before applying, do not use too much because too much citric acid may irritate your face. Citric acid has lightening properties, making your face brighter. Just add two drops to cotton pad, and add a little bit of water. This will clean off any eye makeup quickly (including waterproof mascara) without drying your eye area. The same recipe can be used to remove face make up. Separate the egg white from the yolk. Put the egg white on your face and relax for about 15 minutes. Wash off with lukewarm water. This facial mask leaves your skin smooth, refreshed and tightens your skin. Avocados make excellent face masks for dry skin. They boast 14 minerals as antioxidant vitamins E and A. To prepare a face mask, mash up avocado, add a touch of sweet almond oil and smooth the mixture over your face, keep it on for as long as possible to nourish and soften the skin. The caffiene in tea bags acts as a remedy for dark circles by diminishing puffiness. Caffiene in tea helps to diminish water in the tissues around the eyes (you'll notice that many early eye circle creams contain caffiene for this very reason).
