Many of us who have skin moles hope that this is a type of a birthmark we could live without. For a couple of us it is a mark that defines them - but for most it is a possible sign that they have melanoma. Though not all moles are malignant individuals still find methods that they are able to utilize to have it removed. One average treatment that people are able to utilize is cryotherapy. This is an procedure that is used on both benign and cancerous skin moles. It takes it off of it by freezing the mole. Skin doctors have been using this treatment for a bit of time and have found it to be rather efficient although more or less irritating. During the procedure the skin doctor will set liquid nitrogen along the skin lesion through contrasting methods. There are other things that may be used to freeze it - but the liquid nitrogen is believed the easiest to utilize. They are also more effective at damaging the affected area to make it simpler to get rid of it. Before the skin is ready to be frozen the patient will be taught about what the procedure is, what can take place during it, and any complications that may happen. The skin doctor will then offer them a local anesthetic that is able to numb the area - but not cause them to be unconscious. When the skin mole is frozen they can utilize a razor to shave it off the skin. Though this is not the only form of mole removal available individuals believe that it is rather effective at making sure that it does not grow back. Other more ordinary methods include using a special instrument that is able to cut it off. The only downside to this is that it will call for stitches and take longer to mend.
