So you want to take your new business idea onto the internet and want to start selling your products electronically. That's great, but there are a few things you really should be aware of before you go diving head first into it. First of all you need to find a good company who can help you out with this. You will really need to find a website design company that also specialises in a wide range of other topics. Likes the ones described below. Design Of course a web design company can help out with design, however, can they help you with site architecture and website usability. It is common for some web design companies just to follow your exact requirements and not even offer advice on how it should look. Any web designer will tell you what a client wants and what's best for his website rarely go hand in hand. A website must be easy to use and people must be able to find what they are looking for quickly or they will just leave. A good web design company will tell you when your ideas aren't really feasible. So remember always ask them about usability and navigation. I do understand that at the end of the day the final decision is down to the client but he should be made aware of the implications their ideas will have on the final design. Content Far too many websites think they're about us information should be their homepage. This is a mistake there are not many people who care about the history of your company and them that do can click on your about page if they require information. The homepage is the best place to show off your special offers, sale items and most popular products. Most of your web copy should have one aim and that's to convert customers. Your content should grab people's attention. Once you have done that it should keep them interested enough to create desire to buy your products. If you are looking for a great website design company who can give really good advice about these things I would recommend this company. They also have over 30 years experience in SEO so they can really help. Other web design companies are available. That's it for part one, however, part two will be along very soon where I will discuss SEO and building customer loyalty. Article Source: http://www.ArticleBlast.com |
