There is nothing wrong with doing things yourself in business if you can mange it. Many folks do try and take on all of the different aspects of running and marketing their business. The fact is that many people that try this then realize that it is a very tough task. The day to day activities of a business tales many hours and then when you put the added effort of trying to do the search engine optimization, link building and all the other marketing stuff, it can simply be too much. It is not really impossible to manage your own SEO while at the same time running a successful business, but if you are going to have success in both than you are going to need a little bit of help. And while everyone knows that rich text and good authoritative links are the best online marketing strategies it is important to note that you don't necessarily need to take care of all this yourself. It is not uncommon for people to think that they don't want to buy content or even text links because if they are doing things themselves they should be able to take care of that too. This is something that would typically be done by a good SEO firm and if you are resistant to hiring one of these you probably don't have anyone writing for you either. There is a reason why people hire out this work. It takes a lot of time and you have to stay on top of it. After all, in order to cultivate links that occur naturally you must develop a business relationship with many prospective companies and then sit around hoping that eventually those relationships develop into link exchanges. It can be a grueling and never ending process. So, you can listen to the people that say that it is best to write the content that you need yourself and also take all the time in the world to let those links just sprout and grow naturally. Or you can focus on other things and hire that demanding part of the business out. There is a whole lot to do with the big picture of getting a business going and keeping it going. It is smart business to pay someone else to take some of the tougher tasks off your hands. You probably have strong skills in other areas and those are the things that you need to stay on top of.
