Free web hosting may seem like a wonderful thing. After all, these days who doesn't like to get something for nothing? But there is an expression that says you get what you pay for. And thus you must be leery if you are receiving this valuable service for nothing. You have to understand all the issues that you will be running into when you use a free hosting service. For one thing these never have enough space and you need space for a multitude of reasons. If you need to speak to someone in the customer service department, you won't be able to because there is probably no one there. They do charge for some things. These things are usually included in the price with other web hosts, like e-mail and the design tools that are necessary to build the website itself. You will find that they are lacking in the amount of up time that they have as well as some other issues. One thing that is starting to become more common with these free web hosts is that the domain names are being reused. The name might be used for a legit business for a while and then when they move on it gets used for something else. Because it was at one time used for acceptable purposes it becomes harder for them to detect when later it is being used for fraud. Because of the sneaky way these people work with these websites, they slide them in on previously legitimate domain names that were used for legit businesses or other reasons. The way that they do this makes it take a little while to figure out what is going on and they take time to get shut down. It gets more time to prove itself because of the history of the domain name. It is not a good thing because the whole time that it is up it can do a lot of damage to many different people. After considering all these reasons and looking at all that goes on with a free web host it does make you think that maybe free isn't better. There are plenty of decent web host companies that only charge a small amount but they give you a lot for the money.
