An awesome place to create links would be a social networking site like Facebook. There are different means of posting stuff on your profile and wall once you have created an account on Facebook. You can use this to link up with for various reasons. Due to the fact that all your friends get a notification when you update your status, it wouldn't be such a bad idea to place a link in your status. You will notice that the hits to your profile will increase when you add awesome subject matter. This is something that will get your website attention for free. It gets the notice of the search engines too because it is a quality site to link with. Since Facebook is a social media site, most search engines will be paying attention to your links and textual content and if it is good enough and has many followers than you may just find that this also helps draw the attention of the search engines as well. Now of course you can type the entire URL into your status updates, but you can also use Facebook's unique attach link feature which will allow you to type text into your status update to create a bigger draw and then put a link in your status along with whatever you want people to read. This is a great way to draw additional attention to your website and the great thing is that it is free. If you want your links to look nice and not like spam, using attach link is the way to go. Placing pictures in your status might be smart since a lot of people enjoy looking at pictures. A weakness of using the attach link button would be the fact that you have to stay within Facebook when clicking on a link. It is nice that you can have your link be attached to a thumbnail photo. It does make it more attractive. Typing the website address in your status isn't always the best idea. There could be a chance that you will lose your handle on the anchor text as well as not have as many visitors on your page. Should you go along with this mode, you should know that visitors will not be going to a Facebook framed page but your own page. Article Source: http://www.ArticleBlast.com |
