My husband isn't always one to take a hint, especially when it comes to Christmas gifts. In the past, I've dropped strong suggestions about wanting such things as a new couch, a gift certificate to my favorite cosmetics store and jewelry. His response has been to buy me things like a new set of pots and pans, a vacuum cleaner, unflattering underwear and a cat. I like the cat -she's still around- but other than that, his track record over the past decade has been abysmal. So when he asked what I wanted last Christmas and I said I'd like a membership at iWin to Download Games, I was expecting to find a treadmill or maybe a new flat screen TV. But darned if he didn't come through and give me an iCoins platinum membership, which gives me a full year of playing my secret obsession, hidden object games.
I'm so excited about this. I just love playing video games on the computer, especially now that the kids are grown up and off to college; I just seem to have a little more spare time on my hands than I was expecting. I like reading, so I've been able to indulge myself with plenty of library books, but the other thing I enjoy and that helps to keep my mind sharp is playing hidden object games. Arcade games and shoot ‘em ups don't do much for me, but something with nice graphics that makes you actually think instead of just mashing buttons is very relaxing. In the past, I didn't Download Games as much as I would have liked to, since most of those were versions you have to pay for, but I did spend a lot of time on iwin.com playing the free versions of games it offers. It never got boring because they have more games than any other site I've seen and it just keeps growing with a new game added every day.
Among my favorite hidden object games on iWin are 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea: Captain Nemo, Amazing adventures: The Caribbean Secret and Jewel Quest Mysteries 2 Trail of the Midnight Heart. Thanks to my membership from hubby I can Download Games and play them to completion at my leisure. I've even had a few of my friends drop by for tea and a round of Escape the Museum 2; with hidden object games, it's sometimes even more entertaining to sit down and have someone join in the fun.
