Mobile Phone's have today become more than just a medium of communication. Today we take photos, videos and store our favorite music in our phones. Most phones need to have a memory card which stores all this data. Imagine loosing all these things because your phone isn't working. Sometimes viruses infecting the phones software also corrupt the memory card. Thus making your ‘memories' inaccessible. In such a situation, generally one would end up loosing heart, but now one can turn to Photo Recovery Software to help us out.

For example, you are transferring photos from your cell phone to your computer. The card doesn't ‘open' but the following message appears on the screen:

"Memory Card Corrupted"

Cause:

There could be many reasons for this, some of the most common ones are:

  • Your phone may have had a virus which corrupted the card.
  • The card may have been removed from the reader while photos were still being transferred to the computer.
  • If the card gets too full before you download them to your computer. This causes overwriting.
  • Continually saving and deleting files from the card when the memory is full.

Solutions:

There are numerous Photo Recovery Software available to help retrieve your photos. One must be careful to use only genuine and good quality softwares which will not further damage your photos. The software is installed in your computer. Once the memory card is attached to the computer (either directly or using a card reader), the software then runs a photo recovery which recovers the data on the memory card.
