RAM Defined

RAM, also known as Random Access Memmory is a standard component found in every computer. RAM allows data to be accessed in any order unlike other devices where the storage medium can only be accessed in a predeterminded way. This means that all of the programs you are running on your computer can be run at the same speeds and are not givin any restrictions. If your programs were restricted in any way then some would run extreamly slow while others ran fine (Not very good for a multi-purpose computer).

You see RAM data can be read much faster then hard drive data, because RAM already stores your applications code in it, ready for use. Once your RAM max's out or fill's up your processor needs to result to the hard drive for acessing the data, this causing everything your doing to become unbearably slow in our speedy lives.

Basicly the more RAM you have the less problems your going to have when you are using several programs at once.
