If you use your keywords in an effective manner you can really increase your traffic and you can do this without paying for it. Some keywords are easier to get a high ranking for than others this can be due to competion for those keywords, if you start with less popular keywords you may have a better chance of getting to the top of the results listings. There are many site owners out there who will be happy to do this provided you do the same for them in return. These swaps can benefit you in a few ways 1. there's a possibility of getting traffic from their site, and 2. it can lead to getting you a higher search engine ranking. Have you ever thought about giving away free content? Yes giving away free content is an excellent way to get more website traffic, however if you do this make sure you put a back link to your site bringing more traffic to your business. Even though your business is online you can still use off line methods to promote it. Networking is not dead yet, business cards, letterhead, and printed advertising is still a good way to grow you business. If you want people to come back to your website then one way to keep them coming back is to provide useful content and update it on a regular basis, this will keep people comming back to see whats new. Another way to make your website more popular is to try to get your site listed on as many web directoiries as possible, they list your buisness by topic and location, doing this will make your site easier to find. Here's one more important factor: try to make your site easy for th user to navigate. this is a very important because, if your visitors have a hard time finding what they want on your site they will and possibly not come back.
