Ayurvedic Cure for Migraine

Ayurvedic herbs for migraines like Pippali (piper longum) and Vacha (acorus calamus) are used in creating this kind of nasya along with honey. Both drops are meant to the cause of throbbing headache. - Anuvasan Basti or medicated enema—Medicated oils are used as enemas and they are often taken at regular intervals, usually about 50 ml in amount for each dose. Sesame oil and Mahanarayan oil (which is mainly consists of asparagus racemosus) are often used as Basti. - Shirobasti or scalp treatment with medicated oil or milk—This is a special│unique procedure where a cap (cylindrical in shape) is fitted on the shaved head and sealed so as to prevent any leakage of the herbal formula. Medicated milk and oils are poured into the cap. The cap ensures the medicine to remain in contact with the patient's scalp for sometime. This procedure│process is done regularly until improvement is felt. - Dahan or local heat branding—When the condition does not respond to standard treatment using Ayurvedic herbs for migraines, heat branding is performed at the temple on the affected side. - Shaman or symptomatic oral treatment—Some examples of these oral medications are Bhallatakasav, Tribhyvankirti, Godanti Bhasma, and Triphala Guggulu. They are the most common Ayurvedic herbs for migraines. Some of them do not only cure the headaches but also treat blood impurities. In addition, they also substantially aid in reducing anxiety and stress. One important reminder though: A detailed study of the person's constitution should be done│performed first to know the ideal│suitable combination of the herbs.
