A memory card is a compact portable storage device, which is used by many electronic gadgets in today's world. It follows the same read-write technology that a computer hard disk uses to save data. The memory card is formatted in order for it to function in sync with the camera. Formatting the card also solves a lot of card-related errors and problems. Issues of card corruption, formatting errors, read-write errors, etc., can be resolved by simply formatting the card and then restoring the data . If there is no back-up of the lost data, then you can always use a Memory Card Recovery Softwareto retrieve lost images. For example while viewing the pictures stored in the memory card, you get the following error message: 'Card not initialized' Neither
does the camera take pictures after this error message, nor can you
access any of the pictures previously stored in the memory card.
Cause: The error message basically tells the user that the card is not ready for use. The reasons for this could be many. Some of the reasons behind the appearance of this error message are:
Resolution: Whatever may have been the reason behind the problem, the only way to resolve it is by formatting the card. This erases all the data on the card and sets up a new file system. While formatting the card keep in mind that it should be formatted in the device it is going to be used by. Once a new file system has been set-up, the card will work like it did the first time you used it. The old data that has been lost due to formatting, can easily be recovered using a Memory Card Recovery Software.
The tool works on the principle that data is stored on several places on a hard disk. Therefore, even after a hard disk has been formatted, the data originally stored on it is recoverable. Memory Card Recovery can thus be easily done using tools, which penetrate the formatted hard disk and recoup old data.
