The Human Resources Department is often held responsible for maintaining the records of and even providing the training of an organization. The truth is that in almost any type of business there are state regulations regarding employee training. The guidelines seem to grow more stringent each year and the list of topics to be covered gets longer. Even in a smaller organization the filing and updating of records can be a daunting task.
Fortunately we now have computers and we can enter much of our data into a system, where our records are filed electronically. However, even that does little for finding the time, instructors, and places to provide all of this required training.
In reality the actual training material is available online - just put in a search for whatever topic you are in need of. However, a good suggestion is that you modify any purchased content to make it more customized to your particular organization or business. That will make the training more meaningful and more useful to those that need it.
Getting the training material together is a step in the process. Now you need to work at the rest of the progression. Insure that you have a test prepared that adequately examines the knowledge base of the information covered. Then you will need to organize times and places for the employees to complete the training.
You have some options here. You could hold a ‘training blitz' and have all the employees participate at one time. Chances are that all training could be completed by a single employee in one afternoon. But of course, you will need to account for employees that may be out due to illness, vacation, or otherwise.
There may be other situations that could prevent attendance, such as emergency situations that require the attention of persons that need the training. The point is - there is a better way, a way that each individual can receive training when the time is convenient.
Places of business can now use the same type of training methods that some colleges use - a Learning Management System can provide web-based training that is cost effective and easy to use. Because it is web-based employees can utilize the training at a convenient time and there is no need to gather large groups for mass training. Reports can be generated and records are easily kept. This is definitely an easier way to train! Article Source: http://www.ArticleBlast.com |
