I love it when I come across an "MLM Critic". You know the person I'm talking about....they always have a negative comment about the industry. They know all the reasons why it NEVER works, the failure rates...the high turnover, etc. They come across as the type of person trying to help you from making the 'mistake of a lifetime'. The next time you come across this 'friendly guardian' let's make sure you have the proper facts to share with them!

Unfortunately, most "bashers" take a grain of truth and blow it out of proportion. It's human nature to take things out of context so don't take it personally. I learned a long time ago that it blows people's minds that there can exist a real way for an average person to earn an above average income....where a janitor can out earn a CEO. They virtually go into a state of shock when they see their friend (perhaps a high school dropout) earning $300,000 per year or more...and they don't! Let's look at some of their "facts"....

Few people ever make"big bucks"....well you got me on this one. It's true! But...so what? The reality is that MOST people DON'T need to make the BIG BUCKS to have this business make a real difference in their lives! How much value do you think an extra $500 per month will make to the Stay at Home mom when she pays her bills? How much will an extra $1000 make to a retired couple stretching every dollar in these hard times? Yes, the top incomes generally go to the top leaders. Show me a business where the opposite holds true, where the lower level performers get the big bucks. Sports? Nope! Who pays a .100 batter $250 Million? Medicine? Hardly! The top pay goes to the celebrity doctors. Entertainment? Of course not! If you can't carry a tune without a bucket you will not earn Madonna's income. Why should this business be any different? The difference is that ANYONE willing to put in the time and effort can be a Rock Star!

MLM is just a hype business....Oh really!? Then why is it considered to be one of the best investment opportunities going? Let me answer this one by directing you to the link at the end of the article....enough said on this one! It is hard to call a multi-billion dollar decades old industry a scam...unless you refuse to accept REAL facts! Yes, there have been some scams out there masquerading as real MLM opportunities, but what industry is free of it's share of scoundrels? Have you heard the name Bernie Madoff? It happens everywhere....this is no exception.

Most people fail in MLM....Sorry, that's a misconception if there ever was one! The real statement is that most people give up! It's not their fault...most companies fail to provide a viable, workable system for them to follow. They fail to teach their version of our Proven 4 Step System! With a system such as ours...time and effort make success virtually inevitable. I am not saying you'll get rich...but you will get SOMEWHERE, if you just don't give up!

There are better "career" paths to financial success...Oh yeah? Which one...the one They're in? I love this nugget of advice. Let's look at it a little closer by examining a few career choices:

Real Estate...long considered to be a relatively high income path. You'll spend around $1000 to go to classes for the test. You'll spend $250-$500 for the license. Once licensed, heaven knows how much you'll spend in gas showing houses until you close and cash out that first sale. 60% drop out of the business without ever selling a house! Don't believe me? Ask anyone in the business. You can get into a Networking Business for as little as $35 -$300 dollars. Beats R.E. on that one. Anyone can sell 1 product...beat again! Few, if any, drop out on a first sale. Especially since that sale pays out over and over again!

Mortgage Broker... once considered the land of big bucks! Have you talked to a Mortgage Broker lately? The industry is a wasteland! Again, my experience has shown that it takes months of study and O.J.T. (On the Job Training) and studying for the test. After checking with sources, the drop out rate here is 70-80%. We have a short learning curve...about 2 hours during an Action Planning Session! The O.J.T with us is a simple as going through the 4 Step System for yourself. How simple can that be?

Insurance sales... invest months on the job to develop any level of proficiency. Some states require a test...that involves study in your free time (?). Half or more of the agents out there sell little more than one policy before dropping out...and that one they sold to themselves..or their spouse! The same answers above apply here. The only difference is that the 'sale' to your spouse will be perceived as a sign of love...and not raise concerns about being bumped off to collect a pay off!

Car sales.....has anybody been reading the papers lately? Where do they justify this one? It didn't take much research to find out that the drop out rate is 80-90%. Walk into your local dealership to see for yourself. Bring along a dust mop to help them clear the dust bunnies from lack of activity in the showrooms. Need I say more?

Door to Door sales...Oh really? Have you ever tried selling Kirby or Rainbow vacuums? How is that easier than directing people to a website? I don't even know where to go with this silly comment other than roll my eyes and ask..."Are you for real?" Easier? If people even find resistance to promoting the Good Word door to door, how can it be a better career path than owning your own business?

I can beat this concept to death but I will let end here. When you encounter these well intended, but mis-directed, comments you need to understand that, in the minds of your friends and family, they are trying to help. They feel compelled to protect you. After all, how can you possibly hope to get out of your situation by "peddling" your opportunity and products? Most of these objections are easily answered if you think them through.

In the final analysis who do you choose to listen to? Do you continue to listen to those around you that are still struggling to make ends meet...or to those that have shattered the illusion and found a better and simple way out? Above all else, remember this piece of advice...."Those that won't will ALWAYS tell you why you can't!"
