In England, the
rich and indigent are obtaining benefits from administration changes since
1997, while the middle class continues to get confined almost to extinction.
The problem arose as part of the New Labours tax and benefits programs. The effect of the blairrewards has put England in a pinch, while looking at a huge debt that is not going to go away soon. What is Blair Rewards doing for the great nation? The answer is plenty for the rich and plenty for the poor. Blair rewards has painted England into a corner. The vast amount of debt that has been generated combined with the policy decisions regarding taxation makes it difficult to see light at the end of the tunnel. The mega rich have only gotten much richer and the widespread government handouts to the poor have left the middle class stuck with a deteriorating quality of life. The rich have somewhat of an advantage in that a rise in their taxes can simply be avoided by pulling-up shop and moving to a more tax friendly area, which makes future policy decisions after blairrewards all the more problematic. Additionally, politicians fear ramifications for cutting services to the poor as it does not bode well for their future career. The result is a middle class that struggles along paying taxes in good faith with a degrading quality of life. The poor are rewarded for their lack of contribution with expanded benefits, which causes people to wonder how the individuals that work the longest hours are being strained to the point of nonexistence. It was clear from the start that the Blair rewards were not going to benefit the masses; however, it was a clever trick to help the rich become mega rich and institute extended national benefits to the poor in order to force the next administration to follow the blairrewards precedent. When there is profit to be made by drawing a line in the sand as in Iraq, the wealthy are always available to take advantage of the boom. However, when boom turns to bust there is little incentive to stay around to clean up the mess. What is Blair rewards doing to help promote long-term prosperity in England? The answer is found in the middle class families that are just trying to keep employment and make their house payments. This is not prosperity and it is going to remain this way for some time.
