Are you clumsy with your mobile phone? Do you find yourself dropping it, sitting on it, or even standing on it? If so Samsung may have a solution for you as they have created a mobile phone that is ‘solid' as a rock. The Samsung M110 also known as the Samsung Solid, is a robust, practical mobile phone that should stand up to any daily abuse you can throw at it. The Samsung Solid has been compared to the JCB Toughphone, which again is aimed at builders, plumbers, and in fact anyone who isn't very careful with their mobile phone! The Samsung solid doesn't have quite as may features as the JCB Toughphone (but then it is almost double the price of the Solid!) but it does boast a VGA camera, MP3 player, FM radio, and a talktime of up to 8 hours. It also weighs a lightweight 95g which is impressive considering the mistreatment the mobile phone can withstand. The features of the Samsung solid are not very impressive, lets face it, its no iPhone! But for the market it is aimed at the features are adequate. The market for a sturdy mobile phone has been neglected in recent years, and it is good to see these types of robust handsets eventually coming to light. The Samsung solid has also been compared to the Nokia 5140 mobile phone which has now been discontinued. This would be a good alternative for people looking for a replacement for the Nokia 5140. Another bonus to the Samsung solid is the price, it is being sold for as little as £59.99. Overall the Samsung solid isn't full of amazing features it is simply a practical, sturdy mobile phone that can take the bumps and knocks that you throw at it!
