Every seller in eBay needs to be reliable and trustworthy, in order to build trust and confidence in the potential buyer. There are different ways by which a seller can project himself as credible to the user community.

CONTACT DETAILS - Sellers in eBay must make themselves easily accessible by providing users with contact details such as telephone number, vonage number or skype id. This is because people feel intimidated when they are not able contact the seller during an auction, which would have otherwise worked favorable for them.

PROMPT REPLIES - Nothing is more appreciated than a prompt reply. It is important to reply to all feedback as soon as possible. Replies such as ‘Thanks for your suggestions, we will get back in a day' or ‘Let us know your valuable suggestions' are subtle ways of encouraging dialogue and showing that the seller is serious about his business. It is also a good way to gather customer satisfaction ratings as well.

QUALITY SUPPLIES - There is a Powerseller status in eBay that recognizes the most trusted and constant seller in the community. To gain that status, feedback on seller sales and other member ratings will be considered. Additionally, the quality of products that you sell also matters, which is actually the primary factor that can enhance the seller ratings. Irrespective of where the products are sourced from - wholesale liquidators or directly from the manufacturer, quality of products should not be compromised.

EXCITING OFFERS - A money back offer is a great way to encourage users to buy. This shows that the seller is confident about the quality of the goods he is selling; this results in better customer care relations and increased sales in the long run. Offering free unadvertised bonus is a great way to show credibility. Offering free gift items or bonus points for early birds is a great way to spread word about your product as well.

eBay has a good system of rating other members in the community, in order to show credibility for the selling they do. It is basically a feedback system that appears as an important part in the seller's eBay account. All the above mentioned points play a major role in gaining a good eBay rating; which will eventually aid in high sales for the seller.
