A multiple Roll Tape Dispenser is a type of Semi-automatic label dispenser.It was originally introduced in the year of 1970.All the operations are automated, for multiple addresses displayed at once. This dispensers is similar to manual dispenser, for multiple-row labels are remove from their lining, but instead of pulling on the liner manually, labels occur on the dispenser detects the absence of a label, when the operator removes the label. The sensor closes the circuit and engages the motor, dispensing the next label until the sensor notice the label again which opens the circuit. The electric dispenser was initially designed with the limit switch of 16" wide machine on the left. 4-up multiple-row labels were loaded into the machine and once activated would print one row of labels. The operator would take the labels from right to left, so that when the label was taken from leftside, automatically the next label providing in advance. Multi roll label dispenser usually works up to 5 different rolls of labels in parallel, extends up to the maximum width of the machine.

Generally, multiple roll tape dispenser having base means with upwardly extending tape with seperate edge and a pair of spaced, substantially parallel plates tightly secured and extending upwards from the base. A cylindrical roll has a pair of spaced slots in one side, each slot defining a plane verticle to the central axis of the cylinder, the upper edges of the plates being received into the slots. The releasable lock of cylinder and plates give oppose movement between cylinder and plates toward and away from the tape. Multiple roll tape dispenser has variety of models. It varies from its design and models but the procedure of function is similar to one and all. Some of the models are Selecta-Matic D-5 Label Dispenser, Simple Simon Dispenser and so on.
