Avoid Work At Home Scams
Article Submitted by: Robart Alex

If you do not know it by now, there are many people who are very willing to take your very last dime and give you nothing in return but empty promises. This is especially true on the internet. Some people on the internet will promise you the world to take anywhere from $19.95 to $1000 or more for a way to make money quickly that is nothing more than a re-packaged e-book that was written by a person who was anything but an expert.

If you start buying every report and joining every work from home opportunity you find, you will go broke quickly. Those little $29.95 charges can add up to a lot of money before you find something online that actually works for you.

How can you avoid this type scam and make money while working from home?

One thing you need to know is that most of the information you need to be successful at working from home can be found free on the net. There is little information in most of the courses or books that are being sold for whatever price that is not to be found somewhere else for free.

If you are looking at work from home opportunities, and someone wants you to pay money to make money, many times the only money being made is by the person selling the course or book. The only way you could actually make money with their course or book is to repackage it and sell it to some other unsuspecting soul.

Be sure to do some research. If someone makes a big promise, do an internet search for that person. If they have burned other people, someone will be sure to report on the internet.

If you have a skill that is marketable in your local community, visit with the businesses there. Due to economic conditions, many companies would rather outsource their work to you rather than hire a new employee for a few weeks work. Since you can work on a contract they save money by not having to pay Social Security, insurance or other benefits for you. In addition, they only have to pay you for the work you actually do and do not have to pay you for sitting around waiting for more work.

If you are unable to find work at home opportunities in your local area, try the big job search engines such as Monster. Also, be sure that you include your resume on the site so that others can see that you are looking for virtual work.

If you have writing skills, you can make some money by ghost writing articles to be submitted to blogs and for search engine optimization. However, if you have writing skills that are good enough to sell for these purposes, you will eventually want to start your own blog where you use affiliate marketing to fund your work. If you have excellent writing skills, check with local newspapers or magazine to see if they are accepting articles for publication. If you are able to retain copyrights for your materials, then you can submit them to more than one publication.
