Mahindra Scorpio is already a
star in SUV segment and the popularity further grew with the new mHawk engine, giving extra new power to the car. The
difference can be actually made out by the person who has driven the Scorpio will notice that the new engine gives more
power than its predecessor. Earlier the Scorpio was propelled by 2.6 liter
common rail diesel engine churning out 115 bhp. This engine made the Scorpio
huge successful in India.
The amount of power it generated made people queue up to buy the car.
And the new mHawk engine
offers 2.2 liters delivering 120bhp that is full five bhp more then the CRDe.
But the difference is not limited to numbers alone.
The vehicle goes from 0 to 100 within 15
seconds that is a full 1.6 seconds which is faster the Scorpio CRDe. The
specialty of the new powerful engine is that it's very lighter, 82 kgs lesser
than the CRDe engine. This provides the throttle to push the car ahead without
any load. MHawk also overtakes the
Scorpio CRDe models even in terms of handling.
Another advantage of this
mHawk Scorpio is it offers smooth ride with front independent suspension that
proves to be of excellent quality, when compared to its predecessor. It is also
enhanced with new three channel anti-lock braking system giving a highway
cruising. There have been no changes in the exterior design and body weight.
The interiors also remain the
same except for the dash with new colour. The two-tone black and red theme has
been cleverly used on the dashboard and seat covers. They make the car look
more luxurious than its competitors.
The seats are more boarder
and slide behind well to give the perfect back support. The eight-seater M-Hawk
Scorpio is practical in rural areas, but the third row seat can make way for
luggage space in urban areas as families are smaller.
To add to its allure is the
price tag of 9.9 lakh which is lesser than its competitors Tata Safari and
Toyota Innova. The original Scorpio
when launched in 2002 won several car awards for being the best SUV and now it
m-hawks' turn to be the winner. Article Source: http://www.ArticleBlast.com |
