Exedy is originally a Japanese company now known to the motoring world as one of the major OEM manufacturers in the world for clutches and other powertrain products. Founded in 1923, its clutch manufacturing business and prominent brand name Daikin Clutch is now fully recognized in many parts of the globe. The company extended its arms in the United States and opened its wholly owned subsidiary, EXEDY Globalparts Corporation. The US business was established in 1967 and EXEDY/Daikin products have been manufactured in the US since 1988 for both OEM and the aftermarket.
