Exedy is originally a Japanese company now known to the motoring world as one of the major OEM manufacturers in the world for clutches and other powertrain products. Founded in 1923, its clutch manufacturing business and prominent brand name Daikin Clutch is now fully recognized in many parts of the globe. The company extended its arms in the United States and opened its wholly owned subsidiary, EXEDY Globalparts Corporation. The US business was established in 1967 and EXEDY/Daikin products have been manufactured in the US since 1988 for both OEM and the aftermarket. As a tribute to the Daikin brand, all EXEDY manufactured products still carry the famous Daikin winged logo. In Japan, the Exedy group supplies to all 11 vehicle manufacturers their best products, namely the Manual Clutches, Flywheels, Torque Converters, AT Plates. Also, the group supplies all six vehicle manufacturing race and rally teams in their homeland. In the USA, EXEDY Globalparts now distributes all EXEDY, Daikin and Dynax (AT related) products to the aftermarket to the most of the regions in all of North, Central and South America. Since auto performance is the main target of EXEDY, most of the patrons of company products come from race and rally aficionados. In racing, clutches are most abused since there is a lot of gear shifting going on in the racetrack. From urban street to all out drag and circuit racing, enthusiasts usually prioritize clutch kits and clutch systems for this is important especially in racetrack navigation. EXEDY is a company who specializes in manufacturing sports and performance clutches. Their high technology 5"" Titanium built carbon - carbon clutches have already won Formula One races. There are many clutches EXEDY offers, each product engineered to different specifications. The HYPER SINGLE CLUTCH is top choice for optimum performance of moderately modified cars that doesn't require much capacity. Designed to support heavy impact and shock loads, CERAMETALLIC clutches are for high power engines. LIGHTWEIGHT FLYWHEELS, made from solid one-piece billet chrome moly steel or chrome moly steel forgings, are specifically designed to reduce weight and inertia for better engine response. Cars in particular, greatly differ in clutch technology thats why clutch kits are important when modifying vehicles. Great performance comes not only from the engine but also from the car parts that support the horsepower." The Exedy Clutch Kit comes with three components: the disc, pressure plate and release bearing. Most of them are ready to be applied in Japanese, US-built manual transmission and European vehicles. The Exedy Clutch Kit involves the latest developments in pressure plate, friction plate and throwout bearing design. Clutch forks, clutch thrust bearings release bearings, clutch cables, clutch master and slave cylinders, OEM standard replacement flywheels, heavy duty class 7 & 8 clutch sets are also included in the range of products manufactured by Exedy. Manufacturing clutches for almost a century now Exedy Globalparts Corporation continues to expand globally. With the completion of a new plant of EXEDY Friction Material Co., Ltd. in Thailand, in will not be a surprise if expansions will extend in Asia. Article Source: http://www.ArticleBlast.com |
