Introduction Painting is a form of which makes people to admire a
lot. It can be a passion which can be related to one self. It is
difficult to learn painting but when learnt you are the most wanted
person in the United States of America. The American Paintings are said
to be one of the best among the world and have great reputation for
their precise skill work which can always be admired. These paintings
are very accurate and are difficult to be done by the modern day
painters. The American painters are very famous all around the world
and it dates back to the 15th century when the States had a great
number of painters who were skilled to a great extent.
Once America was declared independent in the year 1776 the country
needed immediately the history to be in the form of painting which
would be a permanent mark for the generations to come. There were
painters who made the paintings of the large revolutionary war and the
leaders of the United States of America during those times. John
Trumbull was a painter who made realistic paintings of the American
Revolutionary War which was a historic moment in the America's year of
independence. In the year 1820 - America's well known school of
painting emerged.
This was named as the Hudson River School which had America's great
painters learn the basic skills of painting. One among them was the
famous Winslow Homer who depicted in a wonderful manner the rural
America. People were simply falbbergastened the way he had painted the
rural America and he gained immense popularity. He was adorned by the
people of the United States and he painted America in all possible
beauty. Thomas Eakins who also studied in the same school was also a
great painter who depicted the romantic sentimentalism. His paintings
were greatly liked by the youth and he had gained great reputation
among them. American President Franklin Roosevelt in the 20th century
introduced many public art programs.
This was when the new deal art arose and became famous in the States.
The main purpose of this program was to liven by the life of the
artists by making them paint in the public buildings with national
theme. This not only arose the spirit of nationalism in the minds of
the people but also help the painters for their daily bread. This was a
great success and several good painters emerged during this phase.
Conclusion Thus we can conclude the American paintings always have a
well renowned name in the world and it dates back to many centuries for
