  1. Focus the camera at the subject's eye level to capture the power of those fascinating gazes and compelling smiles. For kids and animals that means one needs to get down on their level to click the picture.

  1. Bring your picture to life by simply placing your subject off center. Remember to lock the focus on your subject before reframing the shot as most of the camera focuses on the middle.

  2. It's very essential to know your flash's range for example pictures which would be taken beyond the flash range will turn out to be too dark. Check your manual to be sure of flash range as for many cameras it ranges ten feet-about four steps away.

  3. It's very important to watch the light, as great lights make great pictures. To click pictures of people, choose the soft lighting of cloudy days. Avoid overhead sunlight as it throws harsh shadows across faces. To click scenic pictures one should use the long shadows and the colour of early and late daylight.

  4. Spend some time on your pictures, take an extra minute and become a director of your picture. Try often to rearrange your subjects and click from a different viewpoint. Bring all your subjects together and let their personalities shine. And you can finally watch the quality of your picture would drastically improve.
