Music makes the world go round. You'll be hard put to find many people who don't feel this way about this form of art. This is simply because the music we listen to and watch so easily becomes the soundtrack to our lives, creating millions of memories that are so inextricably linked to the music videos and music lyrics that we're often overwhelmed by their power.

Let's say you're at a friend's place watching tv and suddenly you find them playing a dance music video from way back when. It immediately brings back to life those memories from the past, opening that door in a flash and taking you away from the present to enjoy a little nostalgia. Today though, we don't have to wait for tv to take us back at will. The internet allows each of us the choice to watch music videos both old and new, as well as download and learn the music lyrics of all the songs we like.

With YouTube and Google offering space for millions to put up their favorite free music videos whether those are the originals or audience-made versions, you can literally find all the music videos you can ever think to look up.

Only think what a blessing each dance music video must be for aspiring and even seasoned choreographers looking for inspiration to do something different or to mix a variety of styles. Having such a bank to depend on and access makes a world of a difference to such creative professionals. Watching various music videos can also give aspiring singers an idea of what they would like to do in terms of creating a video for their own compositions. Talking of which brings us the greatest video of all - Thriller. Made to promote the late Michael Jackson's second solo album of the same title, the mini movie went on to become a music video that sold on its own with millions of viewers enjoying it immensely and shelling out precious bucks to buy it. Today, you can watch Thriller online for free - not just the original version but all the other versions that include the various groups that have danced to the song in an attempt to break records post Jackson's tragic demise.

Several unknown people have also gained fame and fortune by creating their versions of music videos and uploading them online. Comedy Central's famous cartoon show, South Park, dedicated an entire episode to all those who made it big on YouTube, including Numa Numa, Laughing Baby, Tron Guy, Cute Sneezing Panda, Chocolate Rain, The Star Wars Kid, etc.

That phenomenon got a whole lot of others trying to follow in the footsteps of the above mentioned "pioneers," and the results are obvious today.
