Most of us are interested in music (look at the crowds at any concert!), and many of us have a Music System at home to take care of our melodic inclinations. If you are a regular visitor to the music world gallery spending hundreds of dollars every month for your music, reading this article may well be the first step towards saving some of that hard-earned money. What you may be missing out is an entirely new world that you can manage sitting at home only.

Music software has undergone a rapid transformation over the past few years. A wide variety of software is over the internet. Numerous websites allow you to download music, often giving away http://www.audiomecca.com/music-software/">free music software to make themselves popular. To successfully make the best use of the facility, we need to familiarize ourselves with a few basic requirements.

Your PC or laptop is probably all you need to chase your new pursuit. What you need to check is that it should have a minimum of 128 MB RAM if you want good quality output. Latest systems come with much higher RAM, and it's a simple case of the more the merrier. Get a 1GB RAM and see that music really play!

Multimedia comes bundled with all kinds of home PCs, though you may need to install some if you are planning to use your office equipment. Look for a minimum of a 52x CD ROM. While you are at it, laying your hands on a combo drive or a DVD RW drive will give you a fair number of options of moving your music around. Chances are you will need speakers as well, and a good choice can be made from decent brands like JBL, Sony and Yamaha.

Get a pair of commonly available, good quality earphones to enhance the listening experience, and to ensure your father doesn't throw you out of the house.

Ensure your Hard Disk Drive has at least 2 MB of free space. Most Hard Disks today are generally 80 GB upwards in capacity, and getting this much of free space shouldn't have to worry you at all.

A high speed modem of min capacity 56 Kbps is a must, as is an internet connection to go with it. Most music files, even MP3, are fairly large for a dial-up connection to handle comfortably; hence a high speed connection will definitely be an asset as it will allow much faster downloads. If you are planning to download music videos, then a min internet speed of 512 Kbps is absolutely essential.

Coming to the Software. You will need a good Audio/Video player to enjoy the results of your efforts once you have downloaded your music. Windows Media Player comes bundled with the operating system itself and is a powerhouse in itself, offering a host of mind-boggling options. Interested in trying out something new? Try out Jet Audio, VLC Media player, Music Match to add interesting options to your basic music player. These are audio/video players with a lot of playing options for different music experiences like Jazz, Rock, Classical, Vocal etc, automatically setting the equalizers for the best output for each of these music forms. Further, they give several options of enjoying your music with the varied output effects of sitting in a hall, big or small room, theatre etc.

If, however, you are planning something more advanced like studio recording etc, go in for higher end http://www.audiomecca.com/music-software/">music production software that has sound editing and audio ripping capabilities. Some of the freely available ones are N-Track studio, MIDI Maestro, Chord Composer, MusiGenesis and VF160EX Fostex digital recorder.

So don't spend any more of that money in the music store. Spend some on this side and save the rest for better things. Article Source: http://www.ArticleBlast.com |
