Antowain Smith spent 7 years in the NFL, won two Super
Bowls with The New England Patriots and appeared on the Wheaties Cereal Box is
the new sportscaster on onlinereaio1.com. Smith was drafted the first round of
the 1997 NFL draft by Buffalo Bills. For his career Smith played in 131 games,
running for 6,881 yards and 54 touchdowns, good for 50th and 44th on the
all-time lists respectively. Now retired from playing in the NFL Smith is
redising in Houston, TX training to coach football in the
NFL.
Onlineradio1.com founder Kimberly Ms. MTV states "I'm excited to
have Antowain on board. He is great personally and professionally. It's an honor
to work with him." Kimberly Ms. MTV and Antowain Smith have a history together
dating back to Smith's college football years at UH. While at the University of
Houston Smith was the lead running back in the newly formed Conference USA. The
Cougars went 7-5 and won the 1996 C-USA Football Championship. The 1996 season
marked the first winning campaign for the Cougars in six years. Smith was
largely intramental in the winning success streak at UH which led to recognition
of the NFL and being #1 draft pick. Smith and Kimberly Ms. MTV are the proud
parents of a teenage daughter.
Kimberly Ms. MTV reports "our personal
lives have always been in the entertainment arena. I have been hopeful we can
colaborate and anticipate the international onlineradio1.com business venture."
Kimberly Ms. MTV launched internationally radio and tv show South Coast Live.
She started as a MTV online reporter stationed in Houston, TX while sending
reports to New York City. Kimberly Ms. MTV was responsible for locating
independent artists in Houston. "Record labels and A&R reps knew Houston has
a lot of talent but spread out across the city and were hard to locate my job
was to go underground and bring the talent to the forefront. Antowain Smith and
Kimberly Ms. MTV both have talents to make onlineradio1.com a major
success.
Antowain Smith has always turned down endorsement deals stating,
"I just want to play football and be a normal person off the field." He sees the
opportunities to coach and be on international radio as a great combination.
Smith can relate to the hard work independent artists put into their career due
to the hard work and accomplishments he has obtained. Smith will broadcast from
Houston, TX while giving a running commentary on games, interviewing players
while lending an intelligent opinion to the attentive sports community. The road
