One thing that has always been popular and fashionable is
hats. Specific hats go in and out of style, but there have been many that have
made their mark on fashion, culture, cinema, and history—and are still
recognized today. Most of the famous hats have become famous because of actors
and movies. Here are a few that have made a lasting impression:
-
Crocodile
Dundee: Paul Hogan portrayed this studly Australian who, just frankly, wore
an amazing hat: Cowboy hat with a ring of crocodile teeth around the base. This
rugged character made this type of hat famous and very distinguishable—still today.
-
Indiana
Jones: Harrison Ford's representation of Indiana Jones is probably most well-known
for his hat—a brown leather wide-brimmed fedora. And now, all across the world,
any Indiana Jones Halloween costume would not be complete without the Indiana
Jones hat.
- Holly
Golightly: Audrey Hepburn's portrayal of Holly Golightly in "Breakfast at
Tiffany's" inspired many ladies to wear the black beauty of a hat. Accented
with a large white ribbon, this hat is now the epitome of classic beauty and
elegance.
- John
Wayne: Just picking one of John Wayne's characters for a famous hat just
wouldn't work. All his characters wore the famous and infamous cowboy hat.
Character after character that John Wayne portrayed sported a cowboy hat with a
rugged, tough, and manly personality.
- Charlie
Chaplin: When someone sees a derby hat, the first thought that comes to
their mind is the eternal funnyman, Charlie Chaplin. He came up with his outfit
by himself. He wanted a huge contrast in his outfit: small hat and large shoes,
large pants and a small suit coat.
- Captain Jack
Sparrow: Since Johnny Depp played
Captain Jack Sparrow in "Pirates of the Caribbean", the pirate hat has never
held so much appeal and attraction—at least for the ladies. His quirky
character made the pirate hat cool again.
It kind of makes you wonder which type of hat will become
famous next. Perhaps a propeller beanie or a bug
hat are the next and best bets. Any takers? Article Source: http://www.ArticleBlast.com |
