PS2 Walkthrough - Slimline |

Right off the bat, there are a lot of PS2 walk throughs that you can find all over the place. I'm going to put a little twist on it though and more specifically talk about the PS2 itself. In other words, I'll be talking about it's hardware and how to hook it up instead of walk throughs retaining too software. We'll be taking a look at the PS2 Slimline. Let's face it, the "original" PS2 is big, and it's bulky. I have the Slimline, and let me tell you, it's great. It's small, it looks really sleek, and you don't need extra attachments to play online, as was needed with the original PS2. Now let's really begin with this PS2 walk through. As soon as you take it out of the box, you'll notice right away how tiny the system is. Going by dimensions of Width by Length by Height, it measures roughly: 9X6X1. I kid you not, this system is small - really small. Which is good, because it makes it all the easier to carry around. The Slimline, just like the original, can be seated either vertically or horizontally. But because it's so small, you'll be saving space either way. The console has two controller ports, and two memory card slots. It's got your AV cables, which you attach to your t.v. Of course. It's also got your "power plug." Unlike the original PS2, Slimline has built-in internet, so you can connect online right from the console instead of having too purchase a separate piece of hardware. The way in which you place and load your games is different with the slimline. Instead of a "sliding" type functionality, it acts almost like a self-loading drive. Essentially, you press the eject button, which is located in the middle of the PS2, and a flap opens up vertically. Place the disc inside, close the flap, and turn the power on. That simple. Anyway, I hope you have enjoyed this quick PS2 walk through. If you don't have a PS2, or your looking for something more compact than your original PS2, then the slimline is definitely for you. Because the next-gen systems are already out, you can purchase the console for very cheap. Article Source: http://www.ArticleBlast.com |
