October and Halloween may be the time when folks want to view bloodcurdling, horror movies but really these films are fun to view all year long. Check out a few of these creepy picks, you can download anytime of the day or night, any time of the year.

Impressive horror motion pictures often get remade over and over again. "House on Haunted Hill" originally came out in 1959 and then again in 1999, 40 years afterward. In the movie a millionaire and his wife offer 5 guests the prospect to make some cash, ironically with inflation it was only $10,000 in 1959 and a cool $1,000,000 in 1999, if they can stay the whole night in a haunted house.

The initial 1959 edition starred Vincent Price, Carol Ohmart, Richard Long, Alan Marshal, Carolyn Craig and Elisha Cook. In the 1999 edition the character names and characteristics were altered but the general story line stayed the same. In 1999, the millionaire was played by Geoffrey Rush, Famke Jannsen portrayed his wife and the guests were Taye Diggs, Peter Gallagher, Chris Kattan, Ali Larter and Bridgette Wilson.

No horror motion picture collection would be comprehensive without Bram Stoker's Dracula. The first Dracula film from 1931 starred Bela Lugosi as Count Dracula. The most modern version from 1992 starred Gary Oldman as Dracula and also included Wynona Ryder, Anthony Hopkins and Keanu Reeves.

Dracula is the most ill-famed vampire of all times and many motion picture versions have been released. While there are some differences they all generally follow the same story as the original with Dracula inflicting fright on the populace of Transylvania. The primary novel was written by an Irishman named Bram Stoker back in 1897.

From 1987, "The Prince of Darkness", Wickedness is entombed in a forgotten canister found in an deserted Los Angeles Church. Unleashing the contents could mean the end of the world as the devil himself is encapsulated in the evil canister. It is up to the Pastor and some of his students to hold back the mess.

The Pastor is played by Donald Pleasence, also starring Jameson Parker, Victor Wong, Lisa Blount and music legend Alice Cooper plays a street schizo. John Carpenter directed this horror film.
