How I Met Your Mother is an awesome TV show. The show is flat out hilarious and corky. The first season sets the tone of the show by reminiscing of the past memories of college days and how they all get together. They talk about their jobs, venture out to the club scenes, strip clubs and one of their usual hang out a bar called MacLarens', in which some of the show is set, is based on a bar in New York called McGee's. They often hang out at MacLarens' often discussing every day topics of relationships, family, experiences, and memories with a funny twist that sets the show off in the right direction

The main character and current Ted Mosby (Bob Sagat) a father of two and an architect recreates the scenarios and explains to his two children of how he first met their mother. Future Ted (Josh Radnor) goes back in time when he was single living with his two best friends from college; Marshall Erikson (Jason Segel) a law-student and Lily Aldrin (Alyson Hannigan) a kindergarten teacher who are engaged. They all live together after they graduate in Manhattan apartment and enjoy the company of each other's presence.

Ted feels he's missing something when he notices Marshall and Lily together and determined he is to find his other half to much to the disgust of his friend Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) a entrepreneur who is known as a womanizer whom he met in a bathroom after a night of drinks, tries to get Ted's feet wet by introducing him to women by playing a game that Ted so utterly hates. Barney introduces himself and asks the famous lines "Have you met Ted?" and walks away with Ted having to pick up where Barney left off. Then there is Robin (Cobie Smulders), a young ambitious reporter is also another character in the show that Ted quickly falls in love with, but is not ready to tie the knot with eventually is known not to be the mother by the reference of the aunt of the children.

The show is obviously about Ted as he tells his story from his point of view from the present, but the show isn't surrounded by Ted alone. Every character has a presence in the show and the show goes in depth into each of the characters lives to get a better acquaintance of the cast. Out of all the character in the show, Barney has to be one that gets the biggest award for best character in the show. He's definitely got a major impact on the show as if he wasn't on the show for one episode it would not be the same. Definitely worth watching the show to see Barney make jokes and make you laugh. This show definitely has the potential to become one of the best TV has to offer. It could easily win an Emmy and be one of CBS's best sitcom standing next to Two and a Half Men and The Big Bang Theory.
