Dog owners love their pooches. But sadly, pooches bring poop, mountains of it at times. Why not sort things out and stop fearing every footstep with a Doggie Dooley Pet Waste Kit? Dog poo is a fact of life for most dog owners. In fact it is not just dogs who leave their 'messages' all over your backyard, cats are just as guilty aren't they? Maybe it is time to take matters into hand and set up a pet waste disposal system in your back yard. Do not fear, this is not some industrial complicated system, you just need a Doggie Dooley Pet Waste Kit. The name Doggie Dooley does not do this system justice at all. It may sound cutesy, but in fact it is an easy to install, long lasting answer to all that dog and cat mess. Once installed you will not fear stepping in it again and best of all you won't fear those plastic bags of Fido's smelliest splitting on you either! What is a Doggie Dooley Pet Waste Kit?The Doggie Dooley is simply a septic system for pet poop. It works just like an ordinary septic system would, but on a much smaller scale. A small galvanised tank is buried in the garden, leaving a lid and foot peddle exposed. Have no fear, this is not on anything like the scale of a home septic system, being only around a foot in diameter and 15" deep. Solid matter is added as and when it is deposited around the yard. You do not even need to get to close as the lid opens with a foot peddle! Then a little water and some Doggie Dooley Digester is put in occasionally. The rest is up to nature. Natural bacteria and enzymes in the digester (you could use a little soil, garden compost and wood shavings instead) break down the solid matter and it becomes liquid, safely leaching into the surrounding soil. Once established the abundance of micro-organisms will ensure no smells emanate from your pet poo septic system, and unless you point it out, no-one should even know it is there in your yard. The surrounding ground needs to be suitable for the Doggie Dooley though. Really hard clay or solid sand are not recommended as they will become too dense to absorb the moisture which filters out of the septic system. But, these conditions are rare and most backyards should have somewhere suitable to set up the pet waste kit. Now, all we need to do is teach our dogs to flip the lid and deposit their waste directly into the Doggie Dooley and pet waste disposal really will be sorted!
