Dog House Training in its Simplest Perspective

The best way to start your dog house training is to buy a suitable dog training collar, lead and dog crate. The collars could be made of nylon or soft leather. When he has grown older, a heavier collar is okay. But if he is large breed, prefer the one made of heavy leather, with strong buckle and clip. Dog house training is quite simple but it requires patience and dedication.

So get the cooperation of your pet by getting his trust on you by providing a crate large enough for him to nap. He should be in this crate anytime you are not around to watch over. The attempt is to make him understand that he will have to wait until you come to his rescue—teaching him about obedience. It is usually during nighttime, when you are in bed, when your doggie can be left for about 6-8 hours inside the crate. But you can also do it if you have to be away during daytime.

Whenever you are around the house, give the dog a chance to leave out the crate or pet bed. But set a timer for every 60-90 minutes. Every time the timer rings, take your pet out for a nice walk for 10 minutes. This gives him enough space for elimination, and you may reward him if he is successful. Positive reinforcement always sets the path. However when time comes that you spend 10 minutes walking with nothing happening, and when you go home, he unexpectedly causes accident in the kitchen floor—don't be surprised. You have to be patient and do not be frustrated because it takes time. In a month or so, you'll be please with the results.

Take note also that puppies grow very fast. So provide a pet collar that is adjustable. Usually the breeder of the puppy gives you a collar and lead the moment you pick him up. Your best pet friend grows older with you... so dog care and training can really be fun. But if the puppy is not yet comfortable with a collar, allow him to begin dog training by putting on the collar in the house for a few days. He may get rid at first. But in an hour or so he will perhaps get used to it. Just remember that dog house training is essential for the benefit of everybody. You may also try hunting dog collars to train your dogs in time.
